Mom & Sisters
Yesterday and today are really pretty as far as weather. Temperatures are in the 50s and the sun is shining. Mike and I are running out of things to do and are really looking forward to our trip next week. Also looking forward to Thanksgiving tomorrow and spending time with my wonderful family. We will miss Jackie who is in So. Dakota helping Melissa.

Got back to Utah last weekend just in time for the stormy weather. It sure is a lot different here than in Mesquite!! I miss the green already. It was really nice to get to see my sisters at coffee on Friday!! Haven't done much since we came back. Yesterday we went to breakfast with Nikki, Logan and Sidney and spent the rest of the day relaxing. Today I am going to Salt Lake to have lunch with my buddies Kolbi and Heidi. I am really looking forward to seeing them. Also, looking forward to our cruise so we can get in the really warm weather.

Still in Mesquite and enjoying the lovely weather. Jackie brought mom down for a visit and we met her, Maggie, Kerick, and Boston for lunch at the Brick Oven in St. George. Later Mom and I went and did a little gambling. We did pretty good for a while then we both lost our money. On Saturday, Bev and Mike Graham came to Mesquite and we met them for lunch then they came for a tour of our house. It was great to see her. Yesterday, we took a drive to the Valley of Fire and showed it to Mom. It is so pretty there and Mom enjoyed it. Today we went to St. George and did a little shopping and had lunch at La Fronterra. Later we are going to the Eureka to watch the Monday Night Football game.

Still a little cold here in Mesquite. However, yesterday was in the mid 60's and today is supposed to be in the upper 60's. Yesterday we went golfing at Casablanca. I sure didn't do very well, but still had fun. We were paired up with another couple who moved to Mesquite from Michigan. It sure is interesting that people from all over the US have moved to the small town of Mesquite.
Bev and Mike Graham are coming to visit sometime this week. Then on Friday Jackie is bringing Mom down to visit and will stay until we go back to Corinne next week. We're not sure what we will be doing, but I'm sure we will do something fun.
Don't have much going on today.

It's a little cold here today. However, still in the low 60's so much warmer than in Corinne. Sunday we went to the movies and just relaxed the rest of the day. Yesterday we made a trip to St. George. We are looking at a new TV for Christmas for our Mesquite home.
Not much happening today. Went to the gym then took Missy for a walk. She sure enjoys getting out and looking for lizards. I'm not sure what she would do if she actually found one!!

Yesterday was Mesquite's Veteran's Day celebrations. Started out with a parade which was pretty good and well attended by the Mesquite residents. There was a lot of candy thrown out and it was quite entertaining watching the little ones scoop it up. After the parade we went to Sun City where they were having a charity event. There was entertainment and a free barbeque. They also had a silent auction which we didnt participate in. Later that afternoon the Rotary Club had a golf ball drop. They had a big crane with a box that all the purchased golf balls went in and it was raised in the air and opened. The golf ball that landed in the middle hole won $1,000. We bought 2 balls but apparently didn't win. All the money raised went to local Mesquite charities so we weren't too bummed we didn't win. We weren't there for the drop because we went to St. George to a barbeque that Little Mike's friends threw for him We had a great time and it was so much fun to be with them. All in all, we had a great day yesterday.

Last night we helped "Little" Mike celebrate his 46th birthday. He, Tonya and Stew came to Mesquite and we all went to dinner at the Golden West. Then went to the Virgin River and played Bingo and a few slots. We all had a great time. This morning we all went to breakfast. It is so much fun when people come to visit. After breakfast Mike and I went to the World Long Drive competition at the Mesquite Sports Center. The wind has been blowing for most of the day and it sure had an effect on the long drives. The person who won hit the drive 459 yards!! Oh, to be that good. We plan on going to dinner then just chill out at home. I love it here!!!

Today is my little brother Mike's, birthday and he is coming to see us in Mesquite. He picked a good day to come. Temperatures are in the low 70's and the sky is blue and clear. We went to the gym this morning and then I spent the rest of the morning cleaning house. It's amazing how long it takes to clean a 1600 sq foot home. We are planning on going to dinner and celebrating Mike's birthday. Can't wait to see him. The only bad thing about being in Mesquite is that I miss my family.

Another day in Paradise
Today it's a little cold. Temperatures are supposed to be in the mid 60's. Yesterday was gorgeous!! It was in the 70's. Mike and I went golfing at Falcon Ridge. We both did pretty good on the front nine and I even beat Mike on one hole and got my 2nd or 3rd ever par. When we got to the back nine, the wind came up and temperatures dropped pretty quickly. Most of the holes were uphill and you couldn't see the greens, so you had to aim in the general direction. We lost quite a few golf balls, but also found a few. We had a great time and plan to try the course again. So far we have golfed on 5 of the seven courses. I made a deal with Mike that when I was able to do a whole 9 holes with a score of 8 or less on every hole, he will take me to the exclusive Wolf Creek course which is pretty expensive. On our walks with Missy, we have seen some of the holes and they are so pretty.
Today we are heading to Beaver Dam to renew our lottery tickets. You would think that with playing both the Idaho and the Arizona lottery we might get lucky and win more than $2 or $3. You can't win if you don't play, right!!
